OUR PEOPLEJulian Jarman

CNS was founded by Julian Jarman, a cardiologist specialising in the treatment of atrial fibrillation and other heart rhythm disturbances. A consultant at the Royal Brompton Hospital, he performs complex ablation and device implantation procedures at both the Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals.

Dr Jarman studied medicine at Cambridge University, Imperial College London, and Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA. He is a winner or finalist of multiple prizes including the Imperial College Innovator of the Year, British Cardiovascular Society Young Investigator of the Year, and Royal Society of Medicine’s Young Trainee of the Year. He also won the Royal Society of Medicine’s President’s Medal, and European Cardiac Arrhythmia Society’s Lucienne Dreyfus Award.

OUR PEOPLERoy Margolis

Roy has 18 years’ experience working on healthcare IT systems. He set up and led the IT team for Dr Foster, the leading provider of healthcare information and benchmarking solutions and was co-founder of The Learning Clinic where he developed the award-winning vital signs data capture system VitalPAC used in over 40 hospitals in the UK. Roy has also been consultant and advisor to a number of organisations developing healthcare software including Kainos, Sensiia, University College London and Bradford Institute of Health Research.

Roy studied Engineering at Cambridge University. His other senior roles include Head of Applications Engineering at Symbian (joint venture between Psion, Nokia, Ericsson, Motorola and Panasonic) and Software Director at Dorling Kindersley Multimedia where he worked with the Multimedia group at Microsoft in Redmond to develop the first Microsoft multimedia titles.

OUR PEOPLEOllie Wylie

Our sales team is led by Ollie Wylie, who has spent over 15 years working within the NHS and private sector, and on all levels. After being one of the top salesman at large multinationals such as Smiths Medical and Stryker, most recently he helped launch and run the first generic medical device manufacturer globally.

In this role he worked closely with the founder, the ex-International President of Johnson & Johnson, to form lobby groups, steer through adoption pathways and drive UK business. This led to the company being called “the biggest thing to happen to Orthopaedics in the last 20 years”. Oliver co-founded Amodisc, which through innovative smartphone tools has a vision to make medical education accessible anytime, anywhere. Alongside sales and management, he is now an advisor to a number of healthcarecompanies and has an active role in groups such as Tech London Advocates and SetSquared Partnership.

OUR PEOPLEJake Arnold-Forster

Jake has 15 years experience as a sales director, chief executive, chairman and investor in health-tech companies. He is chairman and adviser to a number of UK health tech SMEs and was chief executive of health analytics company Dr Foster. He helped secure funds for - and retains an interest in - the companies launched through the health tech incubator Healthbox Europe.

He currently chairs an expert panel of health tech SMEs and has advised many UK and US healthcare organisations and investors, including Capita, Sodexo, Healthcare at Home, Sandbox Industries, Beacon Value Options and Athenahealth. He is chairman of the Yeovil NHS Foundation Trust’s commercial advisory group. He is the founder of Carradale Ltd.

OUR PEOPLEMatt Gee

Matt has over 15 years’ experience in strategy and commercial development roles. In 2006 Matt set up a fund that established and operates digital businesses in S.E.Asia which he continues to head up. Since 2011, Matt has increasingly focused on the medtech/wellness sector, latterly through MO Capital Advisers (‘MOCA’), a specialist corporate finance and investment advisory firm established in early 2015 where he is a founding partner. Through MOCA, Matt provides the strategic advice, allied to seed and growth capital that can enable healthtech businesses to grow.

Matt was previously an advisor to MediCity, UKs largest health and wellness innovation hub, a JV between Boots Walgreens and BioCity Group Limited and is a non exec director/advisor to a number of healthtech businesses.
